Introducing RightBuild: the roadmap that explains itself

The RightBuild roadmap change report, showing added, removed and moved Asks with an AI narrative explaining each change

Plans change. That has always been true in product management, and it always will be. Releases slip, priorities shift and new requests land every day.

The problem has never been change itself. The problem is the work that change creates.

Every time something moves, a product manager has to move it again somewhere else. Drag the item from Next to Later. Update the slide. Answer the email asking why it slipped. Dig through a Slack thread to remember the reason. Clean up the vague feature request that arrived with the wrong title and no context. By Friday, a surprising amount of the week has gone on keeping things up to date instead of deciding what to build.

Today we are launching RightBuild to take that work away.

What RightBuild does

RightBuild brings feature requests, releases and your product roadmap into one workspace. It keeps the roadmap current on its own, tracks every change to it, and drafts an AI narrative to help you explain the why.

Every change, tracked and explained

Capture a version of your roadmap and compare against it whenever you need to. The change report shows what moved, who moved it and why. When an Ask (our name for a feature request) moves between releases, RightBuild asks for a short reason and saves it to the Ask's history. From those reasons and your team's comments, it drafts a narrative you can edit and share with stakeholders. No more "why did this slip?" emails.

A roadmap that updates itself

Attach Asks and Features to a release and you get three roadmaps out of the box: Now, Next, Later; by Release; and by Quarter. Ship, reschedule or cancel a release and all three re-sort themselves. If you placed something by hand, RightBuild flags it for review instead of overwriting your call. No more Friday afternoon roadmap tidying.

Catch-up in one glance

Back from holiday or out of back-to-back meetings? Catch-up shows what changed and what needs you, in one list you can work through. Act on an item anywhere in RightBuild and it is ticked off automatically.

Feature requests that arrive ready to use

AI is built into the workflow, not bolted on as a chat box. Every new Ask gets an AI review that suggests a clearer title, description, type, tags and where it fits in the product. It can research an Ask on the web and write a report covering competitive analysis, market fit, need and impact, with numbered sources. It maps Asks to the feature tree so demand and gaps are visible at a glance.

Prioritization grounded in your context

RightBuild weighs each Ask against the rest of your backlog and recommends a priority, using an AI memory that holds your strategy, personas, competitive landscape and scoring guide.

Works where you work

RightBuild supports MCP, so Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and any MCP-capable assistant can raise, update and move Asks, or query the roadmap and what changed, without opening RightBuild.

AI suggests. You decide.

We were careful about one thing above all. Nothing in RightBuild changes until a person accepts it. Every AI suggestion sits beside the original with the reason for it, and you can accept, edit or reject it. Every change is recorded with who made it and why. The AI does the tidying and the research. The calls stay yours.

One roadmap for the whole business

A roadmap is not just for product. Sales want to know what to tell a prospect. Customer success want a story for the next QBR. Support want to answer "is this coming?" without escalating. Marketing want dates they can plan a launch around. The C-suite want to know where the business is heading without waiting for the monthly update.

RightBuild serves all of them from one live version of the truth. Switch any roadmap to external only and internal items stay with your team, so the same plan works for colleagues and customers.

Why I built it

I spent 15 years in product management, most recently as VP of Product Management. I worked alongside brilliant people, yet the administrative burden never let up. Keeping everyone informed about what we were building and why felt almost impossible while still delivering great product.

I built RightBuild to end that trade-off, so product leaders can satisfy the internal process and still spend their time where it matters most: with customers.

Get started

RightBuild is free to start. The Starter plan includes Asks, voting, comments, search, the feature tree, roadmaps, releases, Catch-up, a public Asks portal, AI review of 25 Asks a month and one market research report a month, with unlimited members.

When your team needs the change report, shared roadmaps, a private branded portal and full MCP access, Basic is $39 per Owner per month, billed annually. See pricing for details.

We are working closely with our first product teams to shape what comes next. If you would like to be one of them, sign up or get in touch.
