Product strategy

Definition: A product strategy explains how a product will achieve the company's goals: who it serves, which problems it solves, how it wins against alternatives and what it will not do.

Strategy sits between the vision (where we are heading) and the roadmap (what we will build). It gives teams the criteria to say yes to the right things and no to the rest.

A strategy that lives on a slide nobody opens has no effect. It needs to show up where decisions are made, in prioritization and in roadmap reviews.
