About RightBuild
We help product managers spend the week on product, not admin
RightBuild is product roadmap and feature request software that keeps the roadmap current and explains every change, so product teams can get back to deciding what to build.
Why we built RightBuild
Plans change. Releases slip, priorities shift and new requests arrive every day. The work of keeping up with that change falls on product managers: moving items between Now, Next and Later by hand, chasing the reason something slipped through Slack threads, cleaning up vague feature requests and answering the same "why did this move?" email again and again.
We built RightBuild to take that admin away. It tracks every change to the roadmap with the reason behind it, re-sorts the roadmap when reality moves, and uses AI to turn messy requests into clear, researched Asks that map to the product.
I started RightBuild in October 2026 after 15 years in product management, most recently as a VP of Product. Throughout my career I worked alongside brilliant people, yet the administrative burden never let up, and keeping everyone informed about what we were building and why felt almost impossible while still delivering great product. I built RightBuild to end that trade-off, so product leaders can satisfy the internal process and still spend their time where it matters most: with customers.
What we believe
-
Change should be explained, not hidden
A roadmap that moves without a reason loses trust. Every move in RightBuild records who made it and why, so the story behind the plan is always there to share.
-
AI suggests. You decide.
AI is built into the workflow to do the tidying and research. Nothing changes until a person accepts it, and RightBuild never overwrites a call you made by hand.
-
One workspace, not five tools
Feature requests, the feature tree, releases and the roadmap belong together. Keeping them in one place means nothing has to be copied between tools.
-
Your data stays yours
Your data is hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany, and we never use it to train AI models.
The team
Naill Mclean
Founder
After 15 years in product management, Naill launched RightBuild in October 2026. He spent nearly 13 of those years at insightsoftware and Hubble, rising from Senior Product Manager to VP of Product Management for Close & Consolidation, where he led teams building solutions for finance and accounting professionals in the Office of the CFO.
He worked with brilliant people throughout his career, but one thing never changed: the admin. Moving items between Now, Next and Later by hand, rebuilding the roadmap deck every month and answering the same "why did this move?" email, again. The time that should have gone to customers went to keeping everyone up to date. So he built the tool he always wanted, with one principle running through all of it: AI suggests, you decide.
Naill is working closely with the first product teams to shape what comes next. If you run a roadmap and that sounds familiar, he would love to hear from you.
