Product management glossary

Changelog

Definition: A changelog is a chronological, public record of changes to a product, usually listing each release with its date and what was added, changed or fixed.

Changelogs show customers that the product is actively improving and help them see when something they asked for arrived. They are typically briefer and more frequent than full release notes.

A product changelog records what shipped. A roadmap change log records what changed in the plan. Both build trust.
