Product management glossary

Agile

Definition: Agile is an approach to building software in small, frequent increments, with close collaboration and the ability to change plans as teams learn.

Agile grew out of the 2001 Agile Manifesto, which values individuals and interactions, working software, customer collaboration and responding to change. Scrum and Kanban are two common agile methods.

Agile does not mean having no plan. It means expecting the plan to change, which makes it more important to communicate those changes clearly.
